![]() No Wyclef Jean for president. We need a president, a self minded one, who can see exactly what Haitians need to stay home to be happy, and those who live in other countries to be willing to stay when they go visiting Haiti, but not see Wyclef as one. For Wyclef Jean, I think he should run for U.S. president instead, since he has a U.S. mentality. He thinks living in U.S. is best than Haiti, and also thinks Haitian people have a great, good living in U.S., so he can't really see what Haiti needs to keep Haitians in Haiti. For example, When the electric Clef speaking in public, most of the things he says about Haiti are what the public in the U.S. have been said about Haiti for so long, so that means he doesn't know his native country well like Haitians born and raised do. And, like many Haitians in U.S., Wyclef seems like doing things that foreign people will like instead of what good for a Haitian people or Haiti. Things That Describe A Good Haitian President or Leader- Things He Should be Aware Of Unlike Wyclef, Former Haitian president, Jean Bertrand Aristide, did well in public. In fact, that's part of why he was kidnapped by the U.S. because they didn't like his ideas toward U.S. vs Haiti policy. Obviously, that, anyone who wants to be Haiti president with good intention to do what's right, should know that Haiti corruption has lot to do with U.S. people, and he is willing to talk to the Haitian people publicly on whatever, whenever how he feels about any U.S. policy in Haiti and how it affects Haitians lives. Also, he should acknowledges publicly that he's ready to go against any bad policy put on or against Haiti by criticizes it publicly and changes it he can. Last, also he should be ready to be called dictator, or any other kind of name because he's doing what's right for Haitian people and Haiti. Kind of leader or President That Really Good Fit For Haiti: In transparency, anyone who really cares about Haiti for real, would do thing according to their own experiences of that country, thus they would do more talking and more goods on the other cities in Haiti that would expedite better benefit to Haiti instead of stay focus on Port-Au-Prince. But Wycef Jean doing things the same way most Haitians candidates and humanitarians are doing, just sit and talk about the capital of Haiti which is not Haiti. For instance, before the earthquake 98% of the talks and good things done were targeted at Port-au-Prince, and after the earthquake, it's still the same things: Port-Au-Prince. So how a country gonna function if we can't have a leader whose ideas and focus and plan are not about just one city? In fact, to forget about Port-Au-Prince completely for sometimes and do more things, such as construction, infrastructure in other cities in Haiti, that's what will definitely changing Haiti to a better country. Where Haitian people do not need to think about moving to another cities in order to function a normal life. I do not see that in Wyclef. He is just listen and watching too much foreign media and thinks Port-Au-Prince is Haiti like those who do not know Haiti. Why Not Defending Haitians Rights in Foreign Country?: If You Represent Haiti, Care For Haitians Where You Live First. Lastly, Haitians in U.S. don't seem to have no leaders or organization that represent them, a place where they can go or call on the phone to explain their social problem issues, for example, like NAACP for black African-American, when they face discrimination based on race, nationality differences, etc.. But Wyclef Jean and his diaspora organization in U.S. see that all the time, and on the Internet they can read even more how bad Haitian lives in U.S., but they are not interesting in helping because U.S. interest come first when it comes to Wyclef and Co. Therefore, Haitians in U.S. have not much rights as other human beings have, except to accept and follow whatever they say they are, or to do anything they want them to do. Finally, someone wants to be president of Haiti but lives in another country for so long where many of Haitian people live as immigrants or illegal immigrants constantly experience human rights abuse because because of their differences in race and nationality and culture, yet he never cares to talk much about it and do something to help his immigrant people in that foreign country, so how can he prove that he will defend our rights against foreign abuse worst can it be for Haitian human rights to have someone who thinks Haitian living in U.S. are better then those in Haiti? Better then Haiti because Haitians living in apartment with "Bathroom, Running Water with Kitchen Inside" but highly cost them monthly? What else? I don't think much more. ![]() 300,000 slave children in Haiti? Well, if so, U.S. has over millions slave. Can they named out at least 1000 names of the slave children in Haiti? The reason why they think they slave? Who are their masters? Do their masters prevent them from leaving to go to on their own, or to go to another country? If yes, the story is right, but if not, as I believe it is not true, so it is rotten. Well, I am from Gonaives, Haiti born and raised, and I know for fact most people in Haiti whether they poor or very poor, it is very likely that they have someone working for them as maid ( restavak in Haitian language), so obviously anyone can imagine how much poorer the person working as a maid for them could be. However, since most stories and news about Haiti are told by foreign people, precisely from the U.S., are constantly purported and spurious in way to make their stories sound interesting, to best fit the U.S. interests. , so that's how the story about restavek = slave, and also crime, kidnapping, etc, have become reality in many people's mind who live outside of Haiti. I also beleive another reason they keep reporting those pretending stories is to play in the poor Haitian people mind to keep them down and fears. Fear to the point that they will not feel comfortable to go back home. Fear so that they can't fight for their rights in the U.S. I was once affected by all these bad, scary news I used to hear about Haiti at sometimes. It wasn't until I started to come online more often, read news, gone social networking then I began to make sense out of all these nonsense stories about Haiti. Anyway, slave in Haiti in the meaning of what slave is really mean, that's not a fact. But, if slave exist in Haiti, is it due to foreign bad intervention and their oppressors against Haitian nation that makes it hard for the Haitian government to do right for their people. Otherwise, the Slaves children in Haiti, it's definitely a false story. Wyclef Jean and Haitians Diapora Leaders Won't Tell Haitians Publicly The True of U.S. vs Haiti 07/07/2010
One Problem I have with all these talking online, in the streets, newspaper and on TV about Haiti and Haitian people, is that, the news and stories regarding Haiti are just hovered with about same topics for decade. I understand that before there was not many ways to intercept people or anything, but these days, with all the online tools we have, I expect that the Haitian people and their leaders would have been interested in fixing their reputation and debunk so many untrue stories that have been around so long about Haiti and Haitian people, but I realize that it's not happening. I will explain what I think later, but let me ask this question: Why is it when someone is a superstar, Rap Star, Popular Author, etc.. like Wyclef Jean for example, whom, when he says something, many people would believe him, would not talk and tell the true publicly to the Haitian people of what really going around Haiti and in Haitians lives? The reason for this question is because I think, for example, if Wyclef would tell the true about the U.S. roles toward Haiti and Haitians to the Haitian people, it would better help Haiti, especially, it would probably help the Haitian people to become more united with one mind and, I think that one mind idea would probably help Haiti even more than the non-stopped money collecting everyday. Wyclef said that himself..he says "whatever I say to the people, they would do, they would listen to me"..so why can't he tell the true to the Haitian people about the U.S. roles toward Haiti and Haitian people.? WHY NOT TELL OR EXPLAIN TO THEM: How the Haitian living in the U.S.-- they working so hard but spend most of their earning paying bills every month to keep U.S. economic good whereas their country is perishing; Tell them how U.S. caused Haitians to have a bad reputation in the world; Tell them how Haitians Human Rights in the U.S. are being stripped off daily- taking advantage off because of their race and nationality, language and culture differences, and TELL THEM ETC.. From that, Haitians and other people may ask: why Haitian people are afraid to go back home despite all these bad things they have to endure in another country? And from that point, they can find the answer if they can figure out all the deadly tricks some foreign people including, mostly from the U.S., have played against Haiti to keep Haitian people under constant fear. Fear to make the Haitian people soft and beggared them in order to easily exploit them, both in Haiti and in U.S. Then, they can figure out and wonder the true about all the kidnappings that have been going on in Haiti; how did it started, etc... Further, they can also ask themselves what was up with that recent deadly earthquake that happened in Haiti and what may be next for Haiti and the Haitian people. Also, why not talk and asking publicly about the immigration toward Haitian people: Why is so hard on Haitian people in Haiti and U.S. Why is so hard for Haitian people in Haiti to get visa when they want to go visit abroad? Why different rules using for Haitians in Haiti in the immigration process? Why Foreign people can get into Haiti anytime, anyway, whenever, however, with or without respect for Haiti. But, instead, Wyclef Jean and other Diaspora Haitian leaders rather tell the Haitian people OTHERWISE. For example they usually say to their Haitian people things such as " It is because of the U.S. Haiti still exists"; " If it wasn't for the U.S. I would not be here", " " I am somebody because I come to the U.S." etc.. Making the Haitians believe their only way out of living a good life is to make it to the U.S. either by boat or any way possible. By the way, I may have answer of my own question. As I mentioned fear earlier, I think fear has a lot to do with the reason. I believe the reason for not being able to publicly tell the true, it's because of the fact that they feel that they are not living in a country with a freedom of speech for real. Besides that, they are also afraid of being called out of their name (Haitian; go back home; etc..) and being referred as a dumb person, racist or as someone who hate U.S. ![]() This blog post is my reaction to the news tittle " Poising Pills For Haiti ". Some people trying to poising the Haitian people. Foreigners ( NOT ALL AT ALL) in Haiti are the most dangerous threat to Haiti and Haitian people once gain. U.S. The number one threat! Haiti and Haitian people need help, but not any kind of help. They are taking advantage of us because we are not a nation with leaders with voice to talk on our behalf with louder voice, which we need more than collecting money. Instead of speaking up, instead of **SEE SOMETHING, HEAR SOMETHING SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING FOR HAITI AND HAITIAN PEOPLE, our so-called Haitians'leaders think of getting money on the behalf of Haiti and the Haitian people, like, for example, Wyclef Jean now is selling Haitians children..like, for example, a new Charitable group is founded to help getting money using the name Haiti or Haitian people- now earthquake affected; Like for example, a new website is being built everyday with sign of Donation on behalf of Haiti and Haitian people; Like for example, etc.. This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. ![]() As most of you may hear it everyday, Haiti is the poorest country in the West Hemisphere and, sometimes refers to as one of the world most dangerous place on earth. But the other sides of Haiti have never been shown, nor the true about its stories, the true reasons why it may be the poorest and most dangerous in the world: The Foreign Invasion in Haiti. Yes! Haiti number one bane is derived from mostly of some foreign countries policies, conspiracy, etc.. For example, in my opinion, I think that if a Haitian leader, who really wants to help Haiti to get better and, if those foreigns countries do not like his good ideas that he has for Haiti, they would probably use their power such as money and weapons to get some Haitians beggars to kill that leader, and the next thing the world would know is that Haiti is such a dangerous place a good leader has been killed by Haitians gangs. But the world would not know how it happened. The most recent example are the Haiti Coup De tat, in 2004, following by a numbers of kidnappings, which no Haitian people who lived or living in Haiti have ever experienced in their lifetime. When I heard about people are being kidnapped in Haiti, it made me wonder deeply whether Haitian people could have done that to other Haitians in Haiti. Yes I said in Haiti because I know most Haitians come to the U.S. as a very young innocent, quiet, church going kids and later on some are becoming: murderers, rapists, robbers, etc.., but not in Haiti. Therefore, that prompted me to analyze situation in Haiti and profile the people who were or are doing the kidnapings in Haiti, and further wonder if they were or are really Haitians; or if they were or are not being used by foreign countries as an easy way to kill the good Haitians leaders and to scare the Haitians diaspora who have good intentions about Haiti from going back to do good in Haiti. Fact is most Haitian people ( including born and raised in U.S.) who becoming criminals in U.S. have always sent back to Haiti, which many Haitian people seem to disagree and consider unacceptable, especially myself. I just can't understand how come a country they keep claiming as the poorest and most dangerous, and a country they say they are working with to help make it a better place, when in the other hand, they keep sending criminals into our land without having any consciousness. Even if those accused criminals do not want to go back to Haiti, they force them. FOOD AND EDUCATION Apart from crime, poverty in Haiti such as lack of food, children do not go to school, etc.. are not quiet being told the way it really is. First of all, in my opinion, not lack of food, not lack of education is Haiti biggest problem-- not then and not now. I remember when I used to go to school as a young kid in Haiti I used to think ( I still do) that most children and young people in Haiti attend school because during school time the whole city ( Gonaives ) usually quiet and after school time, the whole town would filled with joy and noise, and student everywhere with different uniform color based on what school they go to. Therefore, I am appalling each time I hear some foreigners stories about Haiti say quote most Haitian people do not go to school, or can't read and write. Fact is, the most basic need of Haiti and its problem it is mostly sanitation issue in terms of many Haitians may not feel comfortably want to live in Haiti for that purpose. So, what I mean by that is if we feel comfortable to live in Haiti, therefore, we will do our best to find food right out of it. However, it is unfortunate for that to happen when after all these years Haitian people are being labeled as such: "Boat People"; "No Food To Eat", "Eating Dirt", "Not Educated",Etc.. that kind of play psychologically in many Haitian people's mind to the point that they have become as such, than many feel hopeless and see themselves as just what they labeled them. In other word, that makes them unable to express and defend themselves to be able to decide for themselves. Thats why most Haitians websites and program based to help Haiti are decided and directed by foreigns people that focus mostly on FOOD based. Of course, it is more easy to raise money on poor people if using food, but that's not what Haiti needed than and not now. One true fact is using myself as an example, when it comes to go to Haiti the number issues that come to my mind are " What kind of toilet that I'm going to use?" " The streets full of all kind of dirty, smelling garbage, especially after a raining day, so how would I feel when I'm walking down the streets"? I may just using myself as an example, but according to some friend experienced who went back to Haiti for visit, and when they come back to U.S. here are the most similar things they complaint about: Toilet is very uncomfortable and scary to use; Durst and Trash everywhere; Mosquitoes everywhere at nights, specially when raining, water on the streets turns into mud and stays there for long time. But, how many times in a lifetime when talking about helping Haiti ( Before and After The Quake), that you've seen a program or organization whose goals is to find out what Haitians people are really need to stay in their country?? What keep Haitian people away from going back to their country?? CONCLUSION Overall, some foreigns people or countries integration into Haiti and Haitians programs are what keep Haiti down. They raise or make money on behalf of so called poorest country, but decided on what to do do, where to do it, when to do it without Haitian people consent or rights. I believe the majority money raised on behalf of Haiti and Haitian people are being used in contract against Haitian peoples hope, for instance, most of the money are used to support the foreigns troops that in Haiti, and other biases things. Furthermore, the way they treat Haiti with disrespect by the way they talk has cost Haiti a lot, for example, I can come here and write this story and many would read it, but most of them won't believe or understand mostly and probably because they have never heard about Haiti much often like this. Just Plain and Simple! ![]() First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, visited Haiti briefly and unexpectedly yesterday have risen some critics and I have critics on my own as well: Haiti does not need anymore ongoing visit from celebrities, but Haiti needs mostly RESPECT AND REAL HELP! Note that this is not about her visiting Haiti specifically, but taking opportunity to address the fact that many people believe that when a popular, rich individual go to Haiti, that would help Haiti getting better, so I want to denounce that as FALSE! Because the only people that benefits from that are the subjects themselves, not the Haitian people or Haiti. The whole good talk would be about them, and Haiti would just stay the same or even worse. It has been proven! In the past years, Haiti has had several hundreds of visits from all kind of celebrities range from movies actors, musicians, writers, etc...but none of that helped Haiti gets REAL HELP, and it has not helped Haitians reputation get better as well. In fact, I think this kind of visits from celebrities biases are hurting Haiti more than helping, because of their presents in Haiti that draw lot of attention and the media that will soon start posting videos on TV and online, and taking and showing pictures of children of Haiti ( sometimes, naked picture). Hence, Haitians' reputation in the eyes and mind of the world is degrading. One good example of that is Haiti last visit few weeks ago by two former U.S. president, who obviously one of the worst weirdo, ignorant racist man anyone can see, after shaking hands with some Haitian people in Haiti had to wiped off his hands on his best friend in front of the public and the cameras. No wonder that caused some more damages for Haiti and Haitians reputation because the world keep seeing that video on the internet and some making fun of it, especially when you have some Haitians in U.S. who would kill another Haitian for a U.S.. But as for him, his country media look at him as a good humanitarian. Apart from that, most of those celebrities do not see Haiti the way Haitians people see it, so they do not looking after the best for Haiti. And, further, they seem to see Haiti only the way the media refer to it as " The Poorest Country in The West Hemisphere" and believe everything else beyond that. Their only interest is to show the world they are helping a poor country getting some food and adopt the Haitians children. Visit Haiti Needs: Haiti needs visit from people who can provide it with REAL, PHYSICAL help fast, and I'm NOT talking about FOOD here!. I'm talking about help with with RUNNING WATER and TOILET inside every Haitian citizen household. Also new IMMIGRATION law to better suit the Haitian people to travel to other countries respectfully, and to make sure anyone enter Haiti is legal.. In order for that to happen, those who claim to work with Haitian government need to see Haiti as a normal country with normal people, and that they should stop see Haiti as a FOOD NEEDED country. That was my opinion before the earthquake and it still my opinion toward helping Haiti get better. Because these are the kind of help that would make many Haitian people feel comfortable to go back home and stay in their own country and uphold heir self respect. Now, I wonder whose body Michelle Obama wiped her hands off after shook hands with the Haitian people in Haiti. U.S.A. Should Leave Haiti and Haitian People Alone, And Stop Using Them To Promote Itself 03/22/2010
![]() First of all, I think it is disrespectful in the eyes of many Haitian people to have these two so-called former Presidents going to Haiti to show up to the world how united they are. I don't think Haitian people who proud of themselves and their country would want to see them coming there and making a mockery of Haiti and Haitian people. I think all Haitian people who care understand would feel that way. They do not have time for that, especially in a time like that. Because, in the end, the only people and country that get anything out of that it's them two themselves and their country, not Haiti and Haitians people. U.S.A. instead using the so-called "Poorest Country" as a way to promote itself to impress other rich countries, such as Russia, France, Iran, Venezuela, etc. That's all it is about! Or what else? They Are Not In Haiti To Help With Rebuilding: I don't know if the U.S. have changed their mind recently, but that's what they said many times before. Since they they are not in Haiti to help with rebuilding the country, which is what most Haitians people need and expect from them, so why they always go there back and forth and nothing good ever happened to Haiti? Why keep using its former Presidents to go to Haiti? Therefore, I think They should leave Haiti and Haitian people alone for good, since they won't help the country to become the dream country that all Haitians dream of: REBUILD IT! Rebuilding which means to help physically developing Haiti so that all Haitian household to be able to have running water with bathroom and toilet inside their home; Electricity in all the country 24 seven; Help to clean the cities streets clean; Constructions of the streets and highways. That's all the country ever needed help with in the past and now. Besides with promoting U.S.A. status to show up other countries how good they are, the other thing is the fact that most Haitian people would want to go back home if Haiti has become a much better country, so who would work those **Sweatshops Jobs** for them in Florida and NY? No wonder, the U.S. loves it to see Haiti stays poor. Let's us stand up for Human Rights. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. ![]() Can't fight racism if you don't think the Human Rights laws is a must in a country. In fact, I believe anyone has right even RIGHT TO HATE or CHOOSE TO BE RACIST. For as long as that person hate or being racist does not cause any harm to those he or she hates, so that human being has all his or her rights to be that way without any retaliation from those who THINK he/ she hates them. I think all countries in the world have a problem of accepting human rights because their domestic policies just don't work with the Human Rights lawsso that's why there are racisms. Retaliation Against Human Being Self Expressions How come some people and countries claim they are not racist when they think it is ok to keep a wash list on some people in order to keep stalking them in the streets, intruding in their privacies, menacing them, and etc..Simply because they think those people don't like them or they they don't like those people because of their opinions, national origin, race, and background of culture, etc.. And, how's it that some countries preach freedom, pointing fingers at other countries for possible violation of human rights when themselves are doing the something or worse?. They can't accept others differences equally. So we need to fight for Human Rights before we can think of fighting anymore racism. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=197561573220&ref=share ![]() Economically speaking, Haitians' lives maybe OK here in the U.S.. However, as a human being myself, I believe that a great living has less to do with wealth, but more to do with one's integrity and one's value. Life of many Haitian in many countries is straight up "a mess". Many of them can't defend themselves while they live in other countries, especially in the U.S. They spend their lives daily trying to be fit, adopt to whatever living condition in order to be accepted by other groups of ethnics. What Caused Haitian Reputation to diminish: In my opinion, I think it all due to the fact that Haitians reputations in the U.S. spread like a deadly virus that affected Haitians and Haiti reputation in other countries. For example, majority of news on Haitians and Haiti are told and created by media in U.S. or foreigns Americans tourists, which usually see things and explain things in regard of Haiti in a wrong way. Thus, this caused many Haitians to be ashamed of themselves and some even don't like people to know they are Haitians when in they are in certain public places, such as school, park, offices, etc.. When and How It Stated: It all started in the early year when Haitian people started to flood into the U.S., probably in the early 70s and 80s, through massive boats, they got caught up and since then that spread everywhere. Stigmatized That Affected The Haitian People: From than Haitians started to be labeled as " Boat People". Besides that, Haitians had been labelled with the worst kind of stigmas, such as AIDS and Tuberculoses, and anything else that was bad. How Is That Affected Haitians People Today: I think it affected Haitians people's lives greatly today. Because people in this country can't hardly get through with racism, that's how hard it is to change their conceptions regarding what they have learned or thought about Haitians and Haiti. For that reason, many Haitians people are living and forget about who they are as a human being. They do not believe in what called Human Rights; they don't believe they have any other rights, except it has to do with immigration. Moreover, most of them want to be become citizens of any country they can go. Besides all that, most Haitian people spend most of their hard working money here in the U.S. |
